At Blue Ridge Music we have both new and used instruments for sale.  We are pleased to offer new Olds instruments that come with limited 10 year warrantees.  Check out our Olds pricing on the instruments and accessories page for information on all the new products we can stock and order.   We also purchase and rebuild - repair quality vintage USA made horns that are very much desired by the local music community.  These instruments recently placed on the website have all been thoroughly inspected and cleaned.  They have been through the shop, play tested, and ready for any student at any level.  All of these instruments come with a full one year warrantee that covers all aspects of normal use.  

This is a new Romanian Full size violin (we have several in stock for 2011) made by the Howard Core Corporation that not only looks great, but plays very well and comes in a superb case with a Glasser fiberglass bow.    List price is $495.00

This Conn Director trumpet (lacquered finish) is vintage 1971 with new lead pipe, ultrasonic cleaning, and new felts  $450.00

The next item is a beautiful King 2280 4 valve euphonium, with a bass shank mouthpiece receiver.  Only a few minor scratches, this horn is considered an intermediate transition from the standard 3 valve instruments.  The 4th valve basically allows for a full lower octave range and enables more precise tuning down in the bass register.   $1350.00

This King 602 cornet is from the 1960's and plays quite well, as this horn was very well cared for and cleaned often.  Considered an entry level instrument, a cornet is actually easier to play and lighter in weight than a trumpet.  But this particular instrument is bright enough to blend well with the trumpet section, and its rounder sound will help the young student advance rapidly in confidence and tone quality.    Asking $450.00

This handmade  4/4  violin is over 110 years old with double purfling inlays.  Label reads Caspar de Salo, in beautiful condition with exceptional projecting tone quality.  New Thomastic Dominant Strings, no cracks or damage.  Priced in other stores around $3500, we are selling this for only $2900.  Only serious interested buyers are allowed to see this remarkable instrument.  Comes with new Kaces suspension case, rosin, and Glasser fiberglass bow 

This Conn Single Horn in F recently arrived  and will need some minor dent removals and cleanup before its ready.  Asking $750 after all the work is completed.  

This Evette/Buffet Crampon alto sax is also a new item arriving this week in really great condition.  With only some minor scratches and dings, this sax will be getting some new pads and the keys will be cleaned and adjusted.  Should be ready for sale after Labor Day if scheduling is permitted for ONLY $750.00
